„Čtenář v křesle“ je anonymní čtenář pohroužený do bezpečného světa knihy, obklopený měkkou hradbou křesla, které zároveň navozuje pocit měkkého mráčku, jenž nese čtenáře ve výšinách imaginace. Křeslo nás chrání před pragmatickým světem kolem nás a dovoluje nám unikat do světa představ a fantazie. Je to snové křeslo a čtenář v něm je záměrně anonymní a symbolická figura, snadno zaměnitelná za kteréhokoliv čtenáře. Zároveň však křeslo dodává soše monumentalitu a posiluje význam a důležitost tohoto tak křehkého námětu. V neposlední řadě socha vzdává hold světu papírové knihy v době, kdy je ohrožován agresivním světem informačních technologií a korektně upravovaných e-knih.

“Reader in an Armchair” portrays an anonymous reader immersed in the safe world of books, protected by the soft wall of an armchair, which also evokes the sense of a gentle cloud carrying the reader in the heights of imagination. The armchair is a symbol that protects readers from the real world, allowing them to escape into a world of imagination and fantasy. It is an imaginary armchair bearing an anonymous reader—a symbolic figure representing any reader on the planet. Yet the armchair also endows the sculpture with a quiet monumentality, amplifying the importance of a theme both fragile and profound. Τhe sculpture also pays tribute to the world of paper books—at a time when it is threatened by the aggressive rise of digital technologies and carefully edited e-books to meet the modern standards of correctness.
